1. Information Collection and Use

MeloMove collects and processes information you voluntarily provide, including fitness goals, workout preferences, physical measurements, mood data, and exercise history. This information is used solely to personalize your experience and provide fitness recommendations. All data processing occurs exclusively on your device.

2. Local Data Storage

ALL user data remains stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage frameworks. SYM.BOT Ltd does not collect, access, transmit, store, or process any of your personal information on external servers. Your fitness data, health information, mood tracking, and workout history remain entirely private and under your exclusive control.

3. No Data Collection or Transmission

SYM.BOT Ltd maintains a strict zero-data-collection policy. We do not collect personal data, health information, workout history, usage analytics, crash reports, or any other user information. We have no access to your data and cannot view, analyze, or process any information you enter into MeloMove. Your privacy is protected by architectural design.

4. Weather Data and Location Services

MeloMove uses Apple's WeatherKit to display current weather conditions and provide weather-aware activity recommendations. When you grant location permission, your device's approximate location is used solely to fetch weather data from Apple's servers. SYM.BOT Ltd does not collect, store, or have access to your location data. Location data is transmitted directly between your device and Apple's WeatherKit service according to Apple's privacy policy. Weather data updates automatically every 30 minutes while the app is in use. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Third-Party Data Sources

MeloMove uses nutritional data from multiple validated sources including USDA FoodData Central (U.S. Department of Agriculture), recipe-based calculations, and international food databases. All nutrition data is embedded locally in the app and does not involve data transmission to external nutrition database servers. No personal information is shared with or collected by the USDA or other nutrition data providers.

6. Third-Party LLM Service Integration

When you choose to enable AI-powered features, MeloMove acts solely as a client interface to OpenAI. You provide your own OpenAI API key and maintain a direct relationship with OpenAI. Data transmitted to OpenAI is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy, not SYM.BOT Ltd's. SYM.BOT Ltd does not intercept, process, store, or access any API communications.

7. Your API Key and Credentials

API keys you provide are stored encrypted on your device only. SYM.BOT Ltd cannot access your API keys. You are solely responsible for the security of your API credentials and any costs incurred through their use. SYM.BOT Ltd has no liability for unauthorized access to or misuse of your API keys.

8. Subscription and Payment Processing

Subscription payments for MeloMove Pro (£3.99/month) are processed exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system. SYM.BOT Ltd does not collect, process, or store any payment information. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy. SYM.BOT Ltd receives only anonymized transaction confirmations necessary to verify subscription status.

9. No Third-Party Data Sharing

SYM.BOT Ltd does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third parties for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose. The only external communication occurs when you enable AI features using your own OpenAI API key, which connects directly to OpenAI, or when fetching weather data from Apple's WeatherKit service. No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics services.

10. Data Control and Deletion

You maintain complete control over your data. You may view, modify, export, or delete your data at any time through the app. To permanently delete all data, simply uninstall the application from your device. No server-side account deletion is required as SYM.BOT Ltd maintains no user accounts or server-stored data.

11. No Data Retention

SYM.BOT Ltd retains zero user data because we never collect it. There are no servers containing your data, no backups to delete, and no external storage to manage. Your data exists only on your device and, when AI features are enabled, transiently with OpenAI during API requests.

12. Data Security and Loss

While SYM.BOT Ltd implements industry-standard security practices for local data storage, you acknowledge that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. SYM.BOT Ltd is NOT liable for any data loss, corruption, unauthorized access, or security breaches occurring on your device. You are responsible for maintaining device security, backups, and operating system updates.

13. Children's Privacy

MeloMove is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. SYM.BOT Ltd does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to MeloMove, please delete the app from their device.

14. Changes to Privacy Policy

SYM.BOT Ltd may update this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of MeloMove after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. SYM.BOT Ltd has no obligation to notify users of policy changes.

15. International Data Transfers

Since all data remains on your device, SYM.BOT Ltd does not perform international data transfers. If you enable AI features, data may be transmitted to OpenAI's servers, which may be located in different countries. Weather data requests are handled by Apple's WeatherKit service and subject to Apple's privacy policy. You are responsible for understanding and accepting OpenAI's and Apple's data handling practices.

16. No Warranties

SYM.BOT Ltd makes no warranties or representations regarding the privacy, security, or integrity of data stored on your device. MeloMove is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. SYM.BOT Ltd disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
